Targeted Practice Based on Ladder
- If you're working on "I can define coefficient."
2. Give two examples of a coefficient.
- If you're working on "I can describe like terms."
2. Give two examples of like terms.
- If you're working on "I can describe the steps to solving linear equations"
2. Everyone attempt your first problem. If you can complete the problem on your own move onto #3. If you cannot complete the problem you will need to construct the "Solving Equations Foldable" (Mrs. H has this for you) to help you.
3. Solve the remaining 3 of your problems.
4. When everyone in your group has solved their 4 problems collaborate to answer the riddle at the top of the page. To check to see if you did them all correct.
5. Transfer one of the problems onto your evidence paper and write out the steps you did to solve the problem. If you made a foldable that is your evidence.
3. Solve the remaining 3 of your problems.

- If you're working on 6. EE.9:
2. Pick three problems to write the expression (an equation) that goes along with the word problem.
*if you cannot complete this activity please watch the video below the worksheet up to 35 seconds.
- If you're working on 7.EE.1:
2. If you need to use manipulative to help you visualize what is happening you can use the virtual Algebra tiles linked to the button under the worksheet.
3. When you feel confident enough of the 4 skills addressed on the worksheet you may move on.
- If you're working on ALL the 8.EE.7:
2. Go to your bigideasmath.com account and click on the "Student Dynamic eBook". Find Activity 1.2 "Solving Multi-Step Equations", in your groups complete Activity 1 and Activity 2 and then answer #4. If you'd like to print these pages you can click on the red book icon next to the title, you'll only need to print the first 3 pages. There are GeoGebra tiles (a little circle icon) next to activity 1 & 2 so you can check your measurements.
3. Complete the next set of Cornell Notes linked below. These notes are in Lesson 1.2 and Lesson 1.3.
4. Sign-up for a mini-lesson with Mrs. H.
